I once was lucky enough to experience the sight pictured below. Growing up on the east coast and visiting Fort Monroe in Hampton, VA many, many evenings these beautiful but hated creatures would present their lovely light show on the shore. The picturesque sight was quite calming and one of the many things that always brought me back to the water.

If this is something that you have never had the pleasure to experience I implore upon you to schedule a beach trip and take time to walk the beaches at night. The creatures that come alive at night are exciting and will make you ponder as you lay relaxing in the daytime of all the life that truly exists at the shore.
